I am 16 and a junior in high school A few of my many passions include playing volleyball, sketching, playing paintball, and snowboarding. I also enjoy building random things and snowmachine rides when my snowmachine is running (my dad and I managed to blow up my snowmachine's engine three time last year). I like to consider myself a very social person but I continue to find myself at the edge of the crowd, just hanging back and taking my time in joining in; I guess I'm kind of shy but I don't like to admit it.
After I finish high school next year I hope to pursue a career in one of the branches of the military (preferably the Air Force). Beyond that I have no further plans. I am no good at all at planning my life (trust me, Ii've tried it before and it didn't work) so I'll just wait and see what God has planned for me.
I will be the youngest member on the trip, and I am very exited to be able to go to Ecuador with my youth group and my dad. I have been wanting to go for years and now I have finally been given the opportunity. This will be my first time out of the US and my dad's as well, and it will be my first flight on a jet, so this part should be interesting. The team will be traveling to a small village on a mountain (we do not yet have all the details), and I really look forward to seeing how this missions trip will affect the lives of the people in the village we will be helping.
I think that the knowledge that a few teenagers and adults would travel thousands of miles to their village to help them would have the greatest impact on the people in the village we will be visiting. Just us being there will show them how much we care, and more importantly, how much God cares. That is the purpose of this trip; not only to help the people we encounter in any way we can, but to show His love and power in all that we do.
Please pray for safe travels for the team, for good health, and that all nesessary funds will be raised.
Thank you all
for your support,
Joseph Lucia

What a great opportunity to be able to work and minister alongside your dad! No doubt God will do awesome things! Enjoy being a part of that!
Joseph & Mike,
Great to see you are serving God on a missions trip. We hope our boys seek this opportunity in their lives as well. We're hoping we can visit with you this summer as we travel on the annual baseball trip.
Love,
Les & Mary
