Carlen Thiessen

This year I'm a senior in high school, and I am graduating a year early. This coming fall I plan on attending Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska to get a one-year discipleship certificate. After that year, I hope to attend UAF (University of Alaska Fairbanks) to become a Process Technician on the oil fields of the North Slope. I enjoy working with metal, including fabrication and welding projects. I also have my student pilots license, and I am working on getting my private pilots license. In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, snowmachining, 4-wheeling, and leading worship at our church.

This will be my second time in Ecuador after being on a team in 2010 that went downriver to a village where we dug a 90 meter trench for a water line and also helped finish dig a water well. I look forward to this opportunity to return to Ecuador and see what God has in store on this trip.

As we prepare, and eventually leave for Ecuador we need your prayer support in many areas, including:

  • Unity as a team
  • Preparation of our hearts to give ourselves to serving
  • Health throughout the trip
  • The little details to be worked out
Thank you very much for your support and prayer!
