Robert Van Daam

I am currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. After I graduate I plan on moving to Ohio, and joining the' Off the Wall 'discipleship program to learn how to become a youth pastor. My whole life my parents have fostered kids of all ages and I have seen the pain and struggles these kids are going through. Through that process and the process of being adopted, God has given me the passion to mentor and minister to lost and hurting kids.

This spring will be my first trip to Ecuador, and I have so many mixed feelings. I am excited to be able to work with the children there, and get to know them. Also, on top of that I am overly nervous. I have never left the states, let alone the west coast. I don't know what to expect, but that is teaching me to rely on God and His plan.

So as I go off to Ecuador with this amazing group of people I ask for your prayers. I ask that you will pray for health, and strength not just physical strength but mental and spiritual strength. We will constantly be facing trials set on taking our focus off the goal. I also ask that you pray for unity among the group so we can work together and be able to grow off one another. Thank you so much for your support and prayer as we get ready to set off on this amazing adventure!
